Domestic Carpet Cleaning a Step-At-A-Time
Nobody wants a filthy house. After all, wouldn’t it be so refreshing after a long day at the office to come home to a well kempt crib? ‘Yes,’ you may think, ‘But the thought of going through all the trouble of cleaning up at home kind of turns me off from the whole thing.’ In that case, you should approach house cleaning, not as a one-time action, but a little-by-little process. Here are some steps you can take towards a clean and orderly home:
Don’t do it alone, if you don’t have to. Create a timetable for house cleaning work that helps each member of the household do his or her share in maintaining the house.
Take it day-by-day. Assign the cleaning of different parts of the house to different days. For example, you can make Monday bathroom day, and Tuesday can be assigned to furniture. Since the whole cleaning process cannot normally be completed in a single day, this will minimize inconvenience to your schedule.
Be properly equipped. You need the proper cleaning supplies to clean your house. Each part of the house (the toilet, closet, windows, furniture, etc.) will need a specific kind of cleaning solution. Although water and soap may work, you’ll find that more specialized cleaning materials and tools will help you do the job in much less time, and with a lot less strain.
Clear the clutter. Putting everything where it should be is the first step to house cleaning. Sort out the things that are to be thrown, tucked away, or reorganized. Of course, prevention is better than remedy, so developing a habit of organizing your things will free you from having to do a one-time, big-time clear-out. If mess is inevitable (you may have pets or kids) then keep garbage bins in each room and tell your kids to throw the garbage into the bin.
If you spot it, clean it. After cooking, brushing and other messy activities, wipe out any spills or stains from the appliances and the surrounding area. Cleaning spills and stains is much easier when they are fresh. What’s more, furniture with delicate fabric and fine wooden cabinet will look ugly if there are stains on the surface. Some stains may even eat away at your household items! Train other household members to do the same.
By following these simple tips, you’ll have a home that is acceptably neat at least, and squeaky clean at most.
