Cleaning Your Rug

Whenever you are at home, all you want to do is to relax, rest, and do entertaining stuff that you find hard to do if you are in work, at school, or in any other places. You think of your home as a perfect refuge to be comfortable and to enjoy every moment you have with your family. Unfortunately, most of the time we still find it hard to enjoy our time at home because instead of relaxing we end up doing household chores, especially cleaning the rugs and the carpets at home.

And so, to ease your burden when it comes to cleaning your rugs and your carpets take note of the following helpful cleaning tips. Remember, it pays well to be smart and practical at all times.
Let’s start off with taking preventive measures in cleaning your rugs. If you know how to prevent rugs from getting damages you will not end up purchasing costly cleaning products or worse, a replacement for your rug.

Regular vacuuming of your carpet and rugs is a good way to start. If you vacuum regularly, there wouldn’t be any soil and dirt build up in your rugs. And as you vacuum your rugs, make sure that you are doing it the right way. Close inspection will help so that you will know what spot of the rug and carpet needs thorough vacuuming. Also, it is an investment to purchase deep cleaning machine for your regular carpet and rug vacuuming.

Rubbing intensely as you remove the stains present in your rug can cause damages or worse irreversible damages. So, if you see a stain on your rug, remove it right away and don’t let it stay there for a long time since it can not be removed if the stain stays for a longer period of time. To get rid of the stain, you can use an absorbable cloth and let it stay overnight since it can remove the stain as well.
If you are going to use stain removal products make sure that you have test the solution first to a small part of the carpet to test chemical reaction. If there is no damaging reaction then it is safe to use the product for the stained spots of the carpet. Hydrogen peroxide will also act as stain remover for your stained rugs in case you don’t know.

Remember, it is not easy to buy a new replacement for you rug. The easy thing to do is to perform preventive measures in protecting and maintaining the quality of your rugs and you will realize that every effort you exert is worth it.
