They are also the culprit in your home in accumulating viruses, dust, and more mites. These are some of the reasons why you need to maintain a clean mattress.
Here are easy tips that you can follow in cleaning your mattress:
During the old days, people clean their mattresses by carrying them out of the garden and beating them to remove accumulated dirt. However, modern mattresses are becoming heavier making it very difficult to carry them outside to clean them in the traditional way.
Today, mattresses are easy to clean. There are mattress bags that you can use to cover your mattress. It acts as a protective cover from pet dander, dust, and mites. The mattress bags make it easier to clean your mattress because all you need is to remove the dirty mattress bag and replaced it to a clean one. There are also mattress cleaning agents and durable vacuum cleaner that can be used to clean mattress.
It is best to vacuum your mattresses regularly. Vacuuming it at a regular interval will keep mites, dust, and dander away.
Keep your mattresses dry. If there are fluid spills, use a sponge with a mattress cleaning agent to scrub the area to remove the stain and wiped it using warm water and sponge. If you got a wet mattress, use a fan to dry it quickly. It is also best to let it out under the sun for a couple of hours to make sure it dries up properly.
