Three Ways to Keep Carpets Clean and Beautiful
Published on Thursday, 29 October 2009
Why replace your carpet if you can only keep it clean and beautiful? Maintaining your carpet is a lot cheaper than getting another one to replace it. It's easier too instead of taking off that old and heavy carpet, cleaning your floor, drying it, and putting a new carpet. Besides, there are only three ways of keeping your carpets clean and beautiful.
1. Regular carpet cleaning. Never let your carpet collect residues and dirt because a dirty carpet attracts even more dirt. Vacuuming your carpet is already an effective way to clean up your carpet regularly. Get down to the fibers too so you can pull out the dirt before they become firm and hard to remove.
2. Remove the carpet stains as soon as you can. Don't wait for tomorrow to remove stains. If you can, remove the stains as soon as possible because the longer the stains stay on the carpet, the more difficult these can be removed.
3. Scrape out dried soils. You may have done ways to remove stains as quickly as possible. However, there are times that soils can get along the way and worse, dry up. In times like this, your best option is to scrape out the already dried soils.
Meanwhile, most households use cleaning chemicals to remove stains and clean the carpet. You can do that also but make sure to test the chemicals before applying them on the carpet. Be wary of using detergents, too since some may be harmful for your carpet.
