Simple Do-it-Yourself Grout Cleaning Solutions
Published on Wednesday, 10 February 2010

The grouts at home must always be clean. However, this does not mean that you hire the services of a professional all the time. This is because there are a lot of things that you can try to maintain the cleanliness of the grout. Here are some of tips that you can always follow:
·       Vinegar and baking soda. Mix an equal solution of vinegar and water or make out a paste with a baking soda. Apply any of these solutions to the area and sponge it carefully. Afterwards, rinse it well so that all the stains will be removed.
·       Chemical agents. You can grab hydrogen peroxide, oxygen bleach, or chlorine bleach in the market. Apply this to the area but make sure you follow all the instructions in the chemicals when using them. This is important because if used not the right way, they can pose danger not only to you but to your whole family as well.
Indeed, it is easy to clean the grout with these ways. However, if you want to do away with such kind of cleaning, do a regular maintenance cleaning with the grout. This will not only minimize your time in terms of the cleaning but it also minimizes the build-up of dirt.
