Removing Chocolate Stains from Clothing
Published on Monday, 30 November 2009
Kids look cute with chocolates messed up all over their mouth. But cleaning chocolate stain from clothes is another story. Here are our simple tips to help you get rid of these stubborn chocolate stains easily.
Using ice cubes
What you need are:
little ice cubes
table shank
and a little patience
Like removing bubble gum from fabric, using ice cube is also effective for removing chocolate stains as this stain also hardens in ice. To do this, follow the following easy procedures:
1. Stroke the ice cubes along the affected part. You need to do this repeatedly, so just have a little patience on it. Rubbing ice will harden the chocolate stain.
2. If already hard, you now have the chance to remove it from the fabric. Do this by scraping the hardened stain with table shank.
3. To help the shank, peel the remaining with your fingernails.
4. Launder and dry.
5. Your shirt will be the same again before it happened.
Not yet effective? Try the next method.
Using white vinegar
What you need are:
white vinegar and sunlight
Procedure:
1. Put a small amount of white vinegar in the affected area.
2. Let dry under the heat of the sun.
If the day is not sunny to help remove the stain, try this next method.
Using detergent
What you need: detergent
water
spoon or table knife
1. Put a small amount of water to the detergent to create a paste out of the detergent.
2. Let the paste stay in the affected area for 5-10 minutes.
3. Rub the paste to the affected area like a polisher to a metal.
4. Wash the garment.
5. And let dry.
If the stain has not been removed yet, rub repeatedly from its back so that stain will loosen. Repeat this process if you see no signs of improvement. Wash it again. And let it dry.
