In this time of global financial crisis, you think on ways on how you can further save money and stretch what you currently have. And one of the best ways on how you can save begins at home.  There are things in the house that when properly protected against damages and stains (like carpets), they have a lasting use (this avoids replacing them from time to time).  Below are some trivial things about carpets and how they can be well protected:
Over the years, the carpet usually sheds off its natural fiber materials.  This is caused by regular cleaning either by vacuuming or by brooming it. Do not be afraid of this as this is natural. However, you can have a carpet which fiber does not loose too early if you carefully choose the broom that you use.  Use soft bristled brooms as these give more care to the carpet fiber. The black line that may appear on the edges of the carpet (usually in wall to wall carpet) is caused by current produced by air.  The carpet acts as a filter against soil and other airborne contaminants. Regularly brush off the contaminants on the carpet using any broom. BY regularly cleaning the carpet (ideally 3 to 4 times a week only), you can maintain the natural look and refreshing smell of the carpet.
With these little trivia about carpet and helpful tips that you can follow, you can be assured on having a lasting carpet at your home.
