Over the years, the carpet usually sheds off its natural fiber materials. This is caused by regular cleaning either by vacuuming or by brooming it. Do not be afraid of this as this is natural. However, you can have a carpet which fiber does not loose too early if you carefully choose the broom that you use. Use soft bristled brooms as these give more care to the carpet fiber. The black line that may appear on the edges of the carpet (usually in wall to wall carpet) is caused by current produced by air. The carpet acts as a filter against soil and other airborne contaminants. Regularly brush off the contaminants on the carpet using any broom. BY regularly cleaning the carpet (ideally 3 to 4 times a week only), you can maintain the natural look and refreshing smell of the carpet.
