Kitchen Cleaning Simplified - Tips to Keep Your Kitchen Clean without Really Trying
Published on Saturday, 04 June 2011

It is never easy to keep a kitchen clean. Dirt, grease and grime seem to pile up as quickly as the laundry does. But kitchen cleaning does not have to be an awful experience at all. There are plenty of things that you can do to reduce the amount of work in the kitchen. Some of them are as follows:
1.     When cooking, prepare a tissue or a towel on top of the stove so you can have space for your spoon and ladles while cooking. This prevents you from getting stains and spills on the stove and sink.
2.     Fill the sink with soapy water before mealtimes. This allows you to wash dishes as you finish your meal.
3.     Keep an ample supply of aluminum foil. Use it to cover casseroles to prevent spills and burns. Also put foils at the bottom in order to catch drips and stains which usually take a lifetime to clean.
4.     Use lids of butter or jam containers as coasters for jars and bottles. This allows you to catch spills from syrups and other liquid ingredients easily. No need to wipe the entire cupboard, simply wash the lid and you're done.
5.     Scratches on sinks are not a good thing. For one, they make the sink look drab. Secondly, the dents on the sink are likely to attract more dirt. When washing dishes, be sure to put a rubber mat to prevent knives and other sharp objects from scratching the sink.
