How to Remove Tire Marks from Concrete Pavement
Published on Monday, 01 February 2010
Your driveway will look very dirty and unappealing if there are lots of tire marks on it. Sadly, tire marks are very difficult to remove. And it requires a lot of effort to restore the original look of your driveway.
The most logical option is to use a power washer to remove stains and marks from the pavement. Unfortunately, not all homeowners have power washers. If you are willing to spend for tire mark removal, then you could hire professional cleaners that can power wash your pavement.
A simple alternative is to use hard bristled broom and concentrated concrete cleaner to remove tire marks. Spray the tire marks with the concrete cleaner and brush the area with the broom. This method will usually do the trick and the tire marks will magically disappear.
Concentrated citrus degreasers are also very effective in lifting tire marks from pavements. What you need to do is to soak the stained pavement with the degreaser and let it sit for 24 hours. Then scrub the areas with hard bristled brush. Normally, the tire marks will disappear in one application only. You just have to repeat the procedure if the tire marks are still visible after a thorough cleaning.
