No one wants to live in a dirty and untidy house. So, we make sure to have a cleaning schedule for our house. However, house cleaning does not only involve dusting, and scrubbing stains on the floors and windows. Furniture is also one of the things that we invested inside our home. So, we also make sure that these things are well taken care of. Here are some tips on how to make your furniture clean and tidy in order for them to last longer.
If you have upholstered furniture, make sure to remove all loose cushions in order to make it easier for them to clean. Removing the cushions in your upholstered furniture will make the job easier.
It will be better to use a moist cloth instead of a dusting brush when you clean and remove the dust from the furniture. It will prevent the dust to be circulating in the air and then settled to another place. Using a wet cloth for dusting will cut this cycle.
Do not forget to vacuum the arms, skirt, back, and other sections of the furniture. Vacuum all the insides of the cushions to remove all the piled dust there.
For upholstered surfaces, use a cleaning solution. It will make the upholstery look shiny and new. A cleaning solution specially made for upholstered surface will not affect the appearance of the furniture and prevents from any possible molds formation.
