Published on Monday, 14 December 2009

You may be eager to take-up your daily cooking tasks.  The problem however comes when you have to clean pots and pans you have used along the process.  Cleaning pots and pans is quite challenging so to speak.  It is more than just using the best dishwashing liquids in town.

The real essence of cleaning pots and pans is to remove the dirt accumulated during the process. You should not give up on it immediately.  It is more of employing the right techniques to keep the procedure more fulfilling. Here are some tips you should start practising.

Tips on Cleaning Pots and Pans

The most tiring part when cleaning your pots and pans is dealing with unwanted dirt and residue.  With some tips to keep in mind, the entire work will be less of a burden.  What matters is you know where to pick the mess up. This may require some effort but it will surely payoff.

1. Start by organising your pots and pans.  In order for you not to get tired during the process, you have to organise your pots and pans accordingly.  If you have some few pieces to clean, start with the smallest ones.  From there, you may proceed with the entire job.

2. Remove residues with water.  You should not directly use your dishwashing liquid and sponge to clean-off your pots and pans.  Make sure that you remove excess residues with water first.

3. Focus more attention on greasy items.  Your frying pans need extra attention.  Of course, you certainly do not want to make use of a greasy pan next time.  More dishwashing liquid should be used for such items.

4. Finish-off where you have started.  This means you have to go back to steps number 2 then number 1.  Remove excess dishwashing liquid from the pots and pans with water then organise them in your kitchen cupboards accordingly.

One Last Tip to Consider

If there are instances when it is hard to remove residues from your pots and pans, here is one tip to consider.  Put some water on them then boil them through your stoves.  Keep it boiling until such time that the residue builds on the upper surfaces of the water.  This technique will soften the particles from cooking endeavours.  Remove the pot from the stove then let the water cool.
