Carpets are good to have - they make a space homier, more stylish, but maintaining is difficult. But here are a few helpful tips to make your carpet cleaning a bit easier.
1. When vacuuming, it's best to use the most powerful one that's within your budget.
2. Hot water extraction is the best way of having your carpet cleaned.
3. You can use a DIY (do it yourself) hot water extraction method by using a ShopVac and a steam cleaner.
4. Carpet shampoos damage your fibers and are not recommended to use for your carpets.
5. Vacuum both in horizontal and vertical directions, as this lets you pick up more dirt.
6. Vacuum under hard to reach areas at least once every six months - use an attachment for easier to reach areas.
7. Empty your vacuum garbage bags when they're two-thirds full.
8. When you hire a commercial vacuum company, make sure that they have certification and have good customer feedback.
Carpet cleaning can become less of a hassle as long as you allot the appropriate amount of time or budget to get them done. Remember, carpet cleaning is never a breeze, so always be prepared - shortcuts might cost you more trouble than you think.
